Native Plant Workshop w/ Center for the Inland Bays

  • North Georgetown Elementary School 664 North Bedford Street Georgetown, DE, 19947 United States (map)

Come join us in the SNAC Garden on Wednesday June 8th from 3:30-4:45 pm to learn about native plants in Southern Delaware. The Center for the Inland Bays will be giving an educational presentation on how gardens with native species help preserve the local wildlife and ecosystem. We will also show you best practices for planting and talk about how to design a garden at home. Following the presentation, we will plant the native species we discussed in the SNAC Garden, along with some squash, tomatoes, peppers, and other summer vegetables. Everyone who joins us will receive a free squash or sunflower plant to put in their own garden or pot outside.
